"State Farm has been my insurance provider for over 35 years and for the last 10 of these I have been with Amanda Hagood's office. I have 11 policies for my personal home and autos as well as rental properties and so I have had many opportunities to contact her office and I do not hesitate to do so since I find her staff to be incredibly helpful in answering questions, addressing my concerns, and being responsive. In particular, I want to call out the work of Rae Thompson. I have interacted with Rae multiple times a year over the time I have been with Amanda Hagood and I am continually impressed with Rae's deep understanding of the insurance business and her masterful ability to explain concepts and anticipate questions. She encourages additional questions to ensure that the customers needs are met and has been very efficient and helpful in making certain that I have the appropriate information for decision making. Our conversations are always enjoyable and Rae is a great asset to Amanda Hagood's exceptional customer service."

"The worst customer service I have ever encountered with an insurance company. Cheyene is disrespectful and hung up on me. Rates increase arbitrarily and very often. Find any other company for your insurance needs."

"Ryan, when you call and yell at my team that they are incompetent useless liars, and then threaten them, I’ve instructed them to hang up on people that treat them that way when that treatment continues throughout the phone call. thankfully, that is rare and a majority of people don’t act that way. I understand having under a $10mo increase on a home policy at renewal can be frustrating (and my office does not have the power to set rates) but it does not warrant that behavior. She did in fact tell you correctly that loss of use and personal property are not coverages that can be removed, and there is no premium attached to it. This is the same information the agent you transferred to also told you. I am also aware of your text that you think it is not acceptable that I am not in the office at all times. I am at a State Farm corporate convention out of town, and I am allowed to be out of the office from time to time. We are always here to help our clients find ways to lower premium, and take a look at coverages, but when someone demands that we do as they tell them to do when it’s not regulation in order for us to do it, and then start yelling at people calling names ,that is not a behavior that is tolerated in my office. My team works extremely hard to help our customers. Note: Calling back a week later after switching agents and him telling you the same thing we did, and then cursing at my employee telling her to rot in hell and hang up is not acceptable. I will call the police if you do that again. "

"Amanda and Megan did a fantastic job welcoming me to State Farm and assisted me in a timely manner with a new policy when my go-to provider was less than helpful. Looking forward to more business with State Farm. Update: Dealing with the frustration of a rate increase due to a NC SDIP draconic and archaic policy had me in the red; 10 mins on the call with Rae and I was feeling so much better and understood that they were on my side, even if the laws currently weren't. Amanda's team should clone an army of Rae's and deploy them to the healthcare industry and we'd be so much better off."

"I am taking my time to write about the wonderful experience of buying a car insurance at State Farm. And it was delivered by very knowledgeable and humble person Kim Ward. Before talking with her I have talked with 3 well known companies but I felt the difference the way she welcomed us at State Farm. And she has provided thorough details about the policy. She remains humble and very helpful during the entire process. I would like to give her special kudos for providing great service of buying car insurance. She understood our situation and conditions very well and guided us in respectful manner. I would strongly recommend to give a call to Kim ward and discuss about your car insurance quote before you purchase any policy from any insurance company."

"Tripled my policy from the quote we agreed on and made me pay the difference for 2 months that I had already been using the quoted rate even though it was their mistake."

"UPDATE: Thanks for getting more info on why the review. Getting all the correct information we need during the quoting process conversation helps insurance companies rate policies correctly at time of quote. For example, if at any time, underwriting finds missing information not disclosed such as accidents, tickets, household exposures, etc. then ratings will change the premium amount. Please refer to the NC Dept of Insurance website on how all of that works according to the NC State Regulation. We would be able to better help you if you allowed us to speak to you. Google reviews & text are not the ideal way to communicate. To keep review facts accurate, it did increase for reason, but it did NOT triple nor double. FIRST RESPONSE: Simon, we just tried to contact you to help. I see back in August you had a concern on your rate, and we tried to speak with you to assist but you would only text us, which is perfectly fine and helps with my notes. I see we were able to explain your situation and answer your questions. Please know that we do not set rates here at the Agency level. You stated you would look for another carrier and we informed you that if you do, you would need to call the office so we can take care of that for you. I also see we even reached back out to you a few days later to see if you got insurance somewhere else to avoid any issues for you, which I feel was very good customer care. Here we are 6 months later with a 1-star review, which again this local office does not set rates, but we did answer your questions via text back in August and follow up. I am texting you a note from our office so we can help you, so please be sure to respond back to us. "
